During the Summer of 2017 a public-private collaboration of business owners, Lewes citizens, and representatives of the City of Lewes decided to form an organization to bring official fireworks back to the city of Lewes. We believe that safe and legal fireworks along our beach is the perfect ending to the Lewes' Old Fashioned Fourth of July festivities, which include games on Second Street, a boat parade on the canal, and the Lewes Doo Dah Parade. Fireworks on the beach are a perfect way to end this family-friendly day. Go Fourth! was formed to make sure we would always have a fireworks show on Lewes Beach on the fourth!
Go Fourth! is jointly managed by the Go Fourth! committee of volunteers, the Lewes Chamber of Commerce, and the City of Lewes. While we have had great cooperation, assistance, and participation from the City of Lewes, along with personal support from Mayor Ted Becker, the fireworks are not funded by the City of Lewes. All funding is from donations from local individuals, businesses, and organizations.
PLEASE sponsor or donate. This show is for the people, by the people. We need you to make the fireworks fly on the fourth!
