On July 4th, 2018 Go Fourth! will organize a 20 minute fireworks extravaganza at dusk off Lewes Beach. The fireworks will be launched on a barge off the main beach parking lot.
The display will be produced by Schaefer Fireworks of Ronks, PA. The Fireworks will be launched from a large floating barge by Hays Tug and Launch Services of Chester, PA, anchored 1500 feet off Lewes Beach. The use of a barge increases the viewing area along the beach and is safer for those watching along the shoreline. The use of a barge will also prevent beach closures needed for setting up on the sand.
The fireworks show is free to the public. It is not a City of Lewes event and is privately funded, with approval and logistics support from the the city. It will be paid for through solely through the donations and sponsorship of local businesses and individuals. Please visit our Sponsorship page for more information about sponsorship levels or to donate. https://gofourthlewes.org/sponsorship
The green at the Cape May Lewes Ferry Terminal is a great place to view the Fireworks and there is more parking on site than in other viewing locations. The CMLF has an evening of events planned that start at 6:00. Click for more information: https://www.cmlf.com/event/fireworks-green-lewes/249
Parking will be limited and all parking regulations will be strictly enforced. Walking and biking down to the beach are strongly encouraged. Please check the Parking page on this site in advance. https://gofourthlewes.org/parking
